Kodanad located about 20kms from Kotagiri on the eastern edge of the Nilgiris. On either side of the road leading to kodanad, there are picturesque panoramic views of tea estates.
It’s a nice place to visit on a clear day. If there are clouds and mist, there won’t be much to see. There are forest areas around the viewpoint to explore as well, but those have to be done on foot.
From this viewpoint, one can see Bhavani sagar Reservoir and the Plains. There bus service from Kotagiri. bus fare from Kotagiri bus stand. They have buses plying back and forth up to 9 PM. You can inquire at the bus stand if you plan to return late from the viewpoint.
